Did you know that the average person has over 6,000 conscious thoughts per day, and about 80% of those are negative? š¬
Safe to say, weāre a bit hard on ourselves. But what if those thoughts could be transformed by the truth of who God says we are?
Letās Look at Jesus. š
When Jesus spoke, He didnāt mince words about His identity:
āI am the light of the world.ā
āI and the Father are one.ā
āI came to give abundant life.ā
Even in a world that questioned Him, Jesus declared His identity and purpose with clarity and confidence.
That took some serious boldness and vulnerability. š But Jesus knew the power of declaring His true identityāand so did everyone who encountered Him.
Imagine This... š
Imagine if your inner voice sounded like Jesusāāfilled with who God says you are and what God says youāre called to do.
And it should be no surprise that neuroscience actually backs this up! Studies show that positive declarations can rewire your brain š§ , shifting you away from stress and toward confidence and clarity that leads to boldness and impact.
God creatively designed your mind to respond to His truth, renewing you as you align your words with His.
This isnāt about wishful thinking; itās about aligning your voice with Godās.
What If You Spoke Like Jesus? āØ
Here's what you might sound like:
š āI am chosen and dearly loved.ā 1 Pet. 2:9
š āI am empowered to do all things.ā Phil. 4:13
š "I am the light of the world." Mat. 5:14
š "I have authority over darkness." Luke 10:19
š āI am loved with an everlasting love.ā Jer. 31:3
š āI am filled with Godās divine power.ā 2 Pet. 1:3 When you start believing what
God says about you, youāll start thinking like Jesusāand when you start thinking like Jesus, youāll start acting like Him. š¤Æš§āāļø
Can we just pause and appreciate how amazing that sounds? But letās get real for a secāthis is way easier said than done, right?
If youāre anything like me, there are days when my thoughts feel more like a chaotic group text š¬ than the mind of Christ. (Seriously, can I mute my inner critic already?) And donāt even get me started on controlling my words. Sometimes, they spill out faster than my morning coffeeāand not always with the grace and kindness I wish they had. āļø
But hereās the thing: I donāt want to camp out in those struggles. Thatās not the final destination. Dwelling there doesnāt serve me, you, or the purpose Godās placed on my life.
Instead, I want to do the one thing that actually works: put on Jesus and follow His lead.
š£ Because hereās the truth:
When we choose to put on Jesus, weāre choosing to let His thoughts replace ours.
Weāre choosing His words over ours.
Weāre choosing His way over our way.
And thatās where the transformation happens.
Even on the messy days (and yes, they still happen š), Iām learning to stop, realign, and remind myself of this simple but powerful truth:
Iām not stuck. Iām being renewed. šš½
And you, my Love, can do the exact same thing. šŖš½
This isnāt just a pep talkāitās a pathway to transformation. Imagine how your life could change if you made this a daily habit, just like Jesus did. Picture the freedom, joy, and strength that would flow, from the inside out, if you truly saw yourself through Godās eyes, using His wordsāand shared that truth boldly with the world.
Letās live like Jesus, one word at a time!
Iām with you,
Kandi
