Fear Is Lying to You—Here’s What God Wants You to Know

Ever feel like fear has just a little too much say in your life?

Yeah… me too.

For the longest time, I let fear convince me to take the back seat. 😳 Whether it was the fear of my big, bold ideas being shot down, the worry that my high standards might overwhelm others, or the nagging thought that my passion might come off as too much—fear restrained me when I was ready to leap.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

Fear may sound reasonable, but it’s never truth.

It can disguise itself as “being cautious” or “considerate.” It can whisper, "What if you fail? What if you look foolish?" But underneath it all, fear hijacks your focus, shadows your love for God, and distorts what’s real.

And that’s exactly why the enemy loves to use it.

Fear’s Biggest Lies (Recognize Any?)

👉 Worried about others' opinions?Fear of rejection

👉 Hesitating with new challenges?Fear of failure

👉 Overanalyzing finances?Fear of scarcity

👉 Doubting your worth?Fear of not being enough

👉 Bracing for the worst?Fear of tragedy or harm

👉 Struggling to trust?Fear of abandonment

👉 Avoiding change?Fear of the unknown

Sound familiar? Yeah, me too.

The enemy targets your fears because he knows how powerful and valuable your faith is. But here’s the truth:

🚫 Fear is not from God.

🔥 Faith is your invitation to freedom.

God’s Answer to Fear ⬇️

📖 “God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

God arms you to overcome fear!

📖 “There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out fear...” (1 John 4:18)

The closer you are to His love, the further you are from fear.

There are countless reasons to ditch fear and cling to Jesus instead:

He meets your needs (Matthew 6:31-32)

He promises His presence (Hebrews 13:5-6)

He gives you peace(John 14:27)

He strengthens you (Isaiah 41:10)

He has good plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11)

Faith is a choice. It starts with one small ‘yes’ to God, and then another. And another.

Think About Peter Walking on Water…

Even with the storm raging, Jesus walked confidently, showing us that faith rises above fear.

When He called Peter out onto the water, He wasn’t just proving a point—He was modeling what trusting the Father really looks like. The storm was real, but so was the higher reality of God’s power.

And guess what? He’s inviting you into that same kind of trust.

I get it—this has been a journey for me too.

For so long, I questioned, "Do I really hear God? Am I making the right move?" But when I fix my eyes on Jesus instead of the swirling storm of doubts, I hear Him say “Come.”

Each step forward is a step of confident faith.

🚀 You’re Ready for More.

God’s got BIG plans for you—plans brimming with courage, love, and the chance to use your unique gifts. You weren’t made to just get by; you were made to thrive! If fear has been whispering lies into your decision-making, it’s time to stop, reset, and recognize that fear is lying to you—and God has something better to say.

Here's to living fearlessly,
