You know those rare quiet moments (the ones that somehow feel louder than the chaos) when life’s weight feels impossible to carry? It’s a heavy place. And sometimes, past hurts or feeling unseen creep in, making you question even the most steadfast love—including God’s.
I get it. Growing up as the oldest of six homeschool kids with a mom who struggled with depression, I stepped into the parent role early. It came with moments of crushing weight, wondering if anyone truly saw me or cared. (That Encanto “Surface Pressure” song totally hit home. 😬)
That gotta-do-it-all mentality runs deep. Can you relate? And along with it come those sneaky doubt ninjas, whispering lies that God’s care isn’t as personal or present as we’d hoped. 🐍💔
"LORD, DON'T YOU CARE?" 🌊
The disciples felt it too. Remember when they woke Jesus in a storm, panicking, “Don’t you care if we drown?” With such tenderness, Jesus calmed the storm and asked, “Why are you so afraid? Where is your faith?” They questioned His willingness, not His ability.
I’ve had those raw moments too, crying out through tears and disappointment. I’ve learned to bring my deepest doubts—not polished prayers, but messy, desperate cries—and trust Him to respond. And He always has, not with a quick fix, but with deep care and wisdom.
One day, in a moment of heartbreak, I sat crying in my car and watched a cloud touch down on a distant hill. It felt like God’s presence drawing near, whispering, “I always answer when you call.”
I could almost hear the soft rustle of His robe as He bent low, coming close to hold me and wipe my tears. 🥹 Then, with tender wisdom, He affirmed my desires as good but gently shifted my focus from problems to solutions. He showed me how to bring His goodness into my circumstances—through intentional rest, healthy boundaries, and redirecting my energy toward purposeful actions.
That journey turned pain into purpose and waiting into action. I discovered that admitting my limits invites His care, and the mind renewal He offers empowers me to step into the impossible. As I partnered with Him, I watched His promises unfold—in my marriage, in meeting my children’s needs, in deep friendships, and through open doors of provision and ministry—abundantly, beautifully, beyond anything I imagined. ❤️🩹💫
GOD ATTACHES HIMSELF TO YOU 🪢
Ephesians 1:5 (in its Greek roots) beautifully reveals God’s heart: “God decided and initiated to bring us into the status of son/daughter with the right to inherit. This adoption was His gift to Himself, to possess us, through Jesus, because it makes Him happy and satisfied.”
You’re not just another face in the crowd—you’re His cherished child. God’s adoption isn’t a formality; it’s His declaration of love. You were chosen, wanted, and valued long before you could do anything to earn it. And you're an heir, given access to everything that is His.
🤔 So if we’re meant to feast in the Kingdom, why do we struggle to live that way?
Think of the most loving parent, instinctively attuned to their child’s needs before they even ask:
Pale face? Time for electrolytes.
Fussiness? Probably a sugar crash—let’s grab fruit and protein.
Tears at goodbye? They need some special attention this week.
That’s how God loves you—immeasurably tuned in, far beyond what you can see. As Jesus promises in Matthew 6:8, He knows your needs before you even ask. God is, in every way, the perfect example of what psychologists call a secure attachment.
👉🏼 What unmet needs has God been highlighting for you lately?
He’s ready to meet them with rest, validation, support, healing, and growth. It’s His joy to fulfill the needs He designed you with. 😉
GOD’S CARE IN ACTION 🫂
From feeding the 5,000 to clothing Adam and Eve, the Bible overflows with stories of God’s meticulous care. Jesus is notorious for getting down in the dirt with people. He broke cultural barriers and restored the brokenhearted. His ultimate act at the cross shows how boundless His care is. From Hagar to Hannah, from freeing the slaves in Egypt to orchestrating detailed breakthroughs, His faithfulness is undeniable.
One of my favorites? When Jesus healed the bleeding woman. She snuck up to touch His robe for physical healing, but He went further to restore her completely—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. He said tenderly, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
That’s who God is. His care is holistic, touching every corner of your life. Psalm 34:8 invites us to “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” He’s never the source of your storms—He’s the shelter from them.
These aren’t just stories—they’re glimpses of His constant love and provision for you. 💕Chelsea, who joined our Revival Life Signature Course, put it perfectly:
“I used to think God was pulling a bait-and-switch, leaving me to struggle alone. But looking back, I can see His care was always there. Now, I understand the false lenses I was using to see Him. As I’ve come to grasp how deeply He cares for me, even the sky feels brighter. I’ve found peace knowing He isn’t waiting for me to mess up or demanding perfection—He delights in me, patiently teaching me and leading me into freedom. His love often moves me to tears of joy!"
YOU ARE LOVED AND CARED FOR 💞
When life feels heavy, remember this: You are deeply loved, chosen, and cared for by the Creator of the universe. His plans for you are good, designed to give you hope and a future. Stand on the shores of His tidal wave of love, and let His care guide you into the fullness of who you’re created to be.
With so much love!
Kelsi
