Ever step out with coffee in one hand and optimism in the other 💃🏽—only for life to throw a plot twist your way? 🕳️ One minute you’re ready for a great day, and the next—kids are melting down, your car won’t start, emails are multiplying, and oh look, coffee… all over your shirt. 🥴
Life’s little ninjas hijack your joy with stress, impatience, and frustration. But beneath the chaos—the rushing, the overwhelm, the need to keep it all together—there’s usually a sneaky culprit: fear.
Not just fear in the obvious sense, but the kind that whispers:
⚡ "If I don’t handle it, who will?"
🏀 "If I drop the ball, everything falls apart."
🤲 "What if there’s not enough for me?"
🤷♀️ "Why does life seem easier for everyone else?"
💪 "If I don’t keep up, I’ll fall behind."
😬 "What if I get it wrong?"
That frantic, tight-chested feeling? It’s not just stress. It’s striving. It’s fear of lack, fear of failure, fear of disappointing people—or even God.
Fear is a thief—stealing joy, peace, clarity, and the list goes on. And it was never meant to run the show.
Because “Perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18)—and when you live from love, grace carries you where striving never could. 🚀
⚖️ Fear vs. Love: What Are You Revering?
Fear is a terrible master. It pressures you, clouds your vision, spirals you in overthinking, and keeps you small. It makes you bow to stress, control, and scarcity—bracing for worst-case scenarios instead of trusting God's goodness.
But holding God in awe—Love, Himself—changes everything. It breathes life into your soul, awakens confidence, and brings peace and clear vision.
God’s not patting you on the back, hoping you’ll just push through. His perfect love sees every part of you—your needs, your wounds, your fears—and calls you higher. It sends fear packing and reminds you that you are fully seen, fully secure, and fully His.
✨ "Whoever listens to me will dwell secure and at ease, without dread of disaster." (Prov. 1:33)
✨ "In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and His children will have a refuge." (Prov. 14:26)
✨ "The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe." (Prov. 29:25)
✨ "The fear of the Lord leads to life, satisfaction, and safety from harm." (Prov 19:23)
Fear says brace yourself, but God says you are safe with Me.
🌦️ Fear vs Faith: Pulling Back the Curtain
Here’s fear’s biggest lie: It makes you think God is holding out on you when He’s actually leading you into more.
Those longings you’ve been surrendering—thinking you’re laying them on the altar to die? What if God’s not asking you to let them go, but to trust Him with how they unfold? And that is certainly not the end of your dreams—it’s the end of fear’s grip on you.
God is not the taker of dreams—He’s the Giver. He planted those desires in you for a reason: to fulfill you and bring His kingdom to earth through your actions and passions. God is fully invested in you, and nurturing you and your dreams!
And when you stop revering fear and start trusting Love, you realize…
✨ You were never behind.
✨ You were never lacking.
✨ You were never meant to figure it all out alone.
He’s leading you into greater peace, greater clarity, and greater purpose.
And the real enemy? It’s not your dreams, your packed schedule, or even the spilled coffee—it’s fear. And it’s time to kick it to the curb. 🥾
God is not playing games with your future. He’s not dangling your dreams like a carrot, waiting for you to “get it right.”
He is for you. He is with you. He is leading you.
So what does it look like to shift your reverence from fear to Love? To trust that even in every coffee-covered moment, He is good, near, and leading you into more?
Let’s shake off fear, step forward in confidence, and embrace His perfect love today. ❤️
Here’s to living covered—not in coffee, but in His love,
Kandi
