🗝️ 5 Ways to Unlock Your True Potential With Jesus

Ever feel like there’s something right under the surface in your spiritual life… something waiting to bloom… but you can’t figure out how to unlock it?

Oh girl, I get it. I’ve lived that. 🙋🏼‍♀️

🌵 And if life’s been feeling more like a prickly pear than a sweet peach—irritated, overwhelmed, snapping at people you love—

Last summer, I planted a veggie garden (shoutout to my garden gurl 👉🏼​Nicole Burke​👈🏼). I had visions of tomatoes exploding off the vine and zucchini the size of my forearm for summer dinners.

I followed all Nicole's gardening tips, but when that blazing sun hit, my dreams withered before me! 👀🔥🙀 Only my eggplant survived. 🍆🤷🏼‍♀️

Turns out… I needed an irrigation system to keep my lovelies hydrated—especially when life gets crazy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Your spiritual life is the same. You can have all the desire, all the potential, all the calling — but without consistent connection to Jesus? Things dry up fast.

Jesus didn't sugar coat it:

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing." — John 15:4-5

Translation?

If He’s the Vine, you better stay plugged in or you’re gonna be crispy.

No fruit. No peace. No clarity. No power. Just wilted zucchini and attitude. 😂

But real, abiding connection with Him? You'll experience transformation. Your soul hydrates. Your purpose wakes up. You start producing fruit without forcing it — because that’s what healthy branches do. 🌳✨

No duct-taping fake fruit to your tree. 🍇🎋

When your bond with Jesus deepens, everything shifts. Your desires start lining up with His. Your prayers hit different. And you begin receiving exactly what He’s been wanting to give you all along.

And girl, He is deeply invested in watching you grow, flourish, and thrive.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control… the stuff that makes people feel safe and loved around you?

More prickles than sweetness? More reacting than responding? More overwhelm than overflow? If it’s the latter, that’s not shame —that’s a signal. It’s simply time to tap into the right Vine again.

And here’s the wild part...

The moment you reconnect, God starts unearthing things in you that have been buried under too much doing and not enough abiding: your identity, strength, anointing. Your potential and original design.

He wants to lead you into richer experiences, deeper revelation, and real access to His miracles — and all of it happens through connection with Him.

Not hustle, not perfection, not performance. Connection.

Here’s how to stay connected to Jesus:

1. 🌿 Read the Word: Clarity starts here! You don’t need an hour... you need contact. Scripture is where your mind gets rewired, your fear gets confronted, and your confidence grows. Let God’s words come alive in you. Soak in His promises & nature. This is where the fog lifts and you get new lenses 👀 —able to spot new possibilities and watch the dreams He planted in you sprout.

   
   

2. 🙏🏼 Connect in Prayer: Talk to God about everything — the mess, the frustration, the desire, the exhaustion, even the things you’re scared to say out loud. Honesty and connection rise together. Those simple, unfiltered conversations open your heart to His leading and deepen your bond with Him. And yes — you do hear His voice. He's made you to hear Him and He loves every moment spent together.

   
   

3. 💞 Live Out His Love: Put Jesus’ teachings & the Holy Spirit’s nudges into action every day—this is faith and reaps 100-fold results! Every time you choose trust over spiraling, forgiveness over pettiness, or generosity over fear… you open the door for the Holy Spirit to move. This is where fruit multiplies & your true potential comes alive.

4. 🎶 Worship in Community: You cannot grow alone because you were not wired to. Find the sisters who call you higher, pray with you, and don’t flinch when you’re going through it. Plans succeed with a circle of wisdom, and joy multiplies when you gather with others who are on fire for Him. We’re better together!

   
   

5. 💬 Be Authentically You: Bring your whole self to God — the highs, the lows, the doubt, the desire, the parts you’re proud of and the parts you hope no one ever sees. He’s not intimidated by your raw and unfiltered self. He wants it. Let those unmet needs bubble up (even if it gets messy). That’s exactly where He starts healing, filling, and restoring what life drained out of you. This is where freedom breaks open and healing begins. This is where the God-sized dreams buried under survival-mode begin to rise again.

   
   

The truth...

Knowing you need connection is one thing…but choosing it in the middle of real life is where transformation happens. It may feel hard at first, but I promise, it's worth it!

And God is not up there waiting for you to “do it right” — He’s leaning in, irrigation hose in hand, ready to saturate every dry place with His presence, His voice, His power.

He planted gifts in you. Dreams. Strength. Purpose. They’re not dead — they’re thirsty.

Let’s water them. Let’s FLOURISH. Let’s grow wild in His love, right where we’re planted.
